Why Meal Planning?

LET’S TALK MEAL PLANS! One of the reasons why I started coaching people and building personalized meal plans for others is because I believe that a healthy lifestyle is individual and one size doesn’t fit all. However, I find that when I plan out my meals for the week and have a weekly exercise plan laid out, this helps me eat foods to more closely meet my goals, feel better, and have more energy in life and motherhood. We are all busy and when you are are on the go it can be hard to know what to eat. This may not only be a challenge for you, but also for your planning for your kids meals! Meal planning before the week starts gets me on track to have a successful week, while not throwing my health or nutrition goals out the window. Hopefully this guide will help you in a similar way!

*Note: this is a sample meal plan including healthy recipes an d exercise, but it should not be used as daily calorie or macronutrient recommendations for all people.

Tips to following a healthy meal plan:

  • Create your meal plan ahead of time

  • Assure you are getting adequate calories and specific nutrients for your goals. If you are far under you calorie needs you will be too hungry to follow your plan!

  • Go to the grocery store with a list and a plan

  • Meal prep proteins/snacks to make lunches and healthy snacks easier

  • Be consistent, stick to your plan!

I promise, if you try these simple steps, meal planning will take on a whole new meaning for you! Don’t get discouraged if your first week isn’t perfect, it takes times! Just remember, creating a healthy meal plan for you or your family doesn’t have to be difficult and can actually make the rest of your week run much smoother!
